Project included the construction of the 104,634-square-foot William J. Hybl Sports Medicine and Performance Center (Hybl Center) which is a partnership between UCCS and Penrose-St. Francis-Centura Health.
The Hybl Center includes altitude and environmental chambers; a nutrition lab and kitchen; a biomechanics lab; a sports medicine clinic; and a sports performance clinic; a café open to the public; a 150-seat auditorium and small seating areas for spontaneous interaction.
The facility provides specialized training equipment for athletes with physical disabilities, as well as firefighters and police officers, located in the tactical simulation gym and 4,000-sq.-ft. outdoor training area on the roof of the first floor.
