- The main level of the school is stepped-up in elevation from south to north with an overall elevation difference of 18.66 feet.
- The new middle school was built next to the old middle school, which was kept in use until completion of the new school.
- The old school was demolished and the land is now used for athletic fields.
- The cost of the project was expected to be $40 million with $16 million coming from Colorado’s BEST (Building Excellent Schools Today) program.
