DESCRIPTION
- Project included the construction of the 104,634-square-foot William J. Hybl Sports Medicine and Performance Center (Hybl Center) which is a partnership between UCCS and Penrose-St. Francis-Centura Health.
- The Hybl Center includes altitude and environmental chambers; a nutrition lab and kitchen; a biomechanics lab; a sports medicine clinic; and a sports performance clinic; a café open to the public; a 150-seat auditorium and small seating areas for spontaneous interaction.
- The facility provides specialized training equipment for athletes with physical disabilities, as well as firefighters and police officers, located in the tactical simulation gym and 4,000-sq.-ft. outdoor training area on the roof of the first floor.
