K+A has been working at DIA (now DEN) since the start of construction in 1989. Following are some of the highlights of the services K+A has and continues to perform:
Quality Assurance and Testing for Denver during the construction of the airport (1990 to 1995).
Geotechnical engineering on-call consultant for DEN from 1998 to 2003.
Geotechnical engineering on-call consultant for DEN from 2012 through 2017.
Managed DEN QA and Material Testing Laboratory from 2012 to 2017.
Currently providing QC testing services for contractors.
Geotechnical engineer of record for numerous large and small projects, including concourse building and apron pavement expansions, taxiways and runways, deice pads, glycol treatment facilities, car rental facilities, infrastructure, borrow studies, etc.
Currently providing geotechnical engineering consultation services for primes for building and apron expansions at Concourses A, B and C, and for apron pavement rehabilitation and drainage improvement projects.
Two projects that K+A provided the quality control materials testing services to Interstate Highway Construction won 2019 Excellence in Concrete Pavement Awards:
Taxiways F & G Pavement – Concrete Pavement Restoration Airports.
Allium Street Reconstruction, Phase II – Municipal Streets Airports.
