- In 1992, K+A joined the team of ATEC/Kumar to provide quality control and soils and materials testing at Coors Field. The project included:
- Placing 63,000 cubic yards of concrete,
- Performing 2,300 temperature, slump, air, and unit weight tests,
- Testing 9,200 concrete specimens,
- Excavating 181,000 cubic yards,
- Testing 86,000 cubic yards of fill for classification, moisture, and density, and backfilling.
- K+A also performed a dewatering study for a 70-foot by 82-foot storm water vault that collects and stores between 95 and 190 gpm of storm water runoff from the playing field.
- The study addressed the installation of well points and sheet piling prior to excavating approximately 30 feet, about 5 feet below the existing ground water level.
