An Employee Owned Company

March 23rd Marks 30 Years of K+A

This year Kumar & Associates, Inc. (K+A) is celebrating our 30th Anniversary as a mature experienced company. We started in 1989 as earthwork/dirt was being placed for runways at DIA (now DEN) and we are still providing services as new taxiways are being built and the concourses expanded. Along the way, we have worked on projects of all sizes and complexities, including the Denver Central Library, Denver Art Museum, Denver Zoo, Coors Field, Mile High Stadium, CSU Stadium, Air Force Academy, E-470, City of Colorado Springs 2C Roadway Testing and Inspection, State and County Highways, Snowmass Village and Water World, just to name a few.

Our staff is our most precious asset. We treat our clients like we would like to be treated and their projects as our own.  The acquisition of H-P/Geotech in 2016 added the missing pieces to our puzzle as well as reuniting with old friends who many K+A employees worked with at Chen and Associates.  This move expanded our footprint and expertise on the Western Slope.  We continue to train our younger staff members as they will be the ones to carry on the tradition of exceptional service.  We are an Employee Owned Company and our employees understand the value of ownership and work for their future.

As part of giving back to the profession and society, our staff actively participates in professional organizations as proctors and speakers. Narender Kumar just completed 6 years on the state licensing board, Jim Noll and Josh Barker have been Past Presidents of Colorado Association of Geotechnical Engineers (CAGE), and Carey Jones is a current Board Member for LabCAT.  Other staff members continue to be active in ACEC, CAGE, ACI, LabCAT, AGC, MGPEC, and other professional organizations.  We keep ourselves engaged by continuing to give back to charitable causes throughout our communities.  Recently, about 1-acre of vacant land, known as Cottonwood Creek, next to our Colorado Springs Office was donated by Mr. Kumar to City of Colorado Springs.  This has enabled the City to complete a long-awaited pedestrian trail at with the opening tentatively planned in May of 2019.

Our future looks good and we appreciate your patronage.  We will continue to provide our clients with the quality of service they have come to expect!
