Kumar & Associates (K+A) is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer for our Summit County Office. 

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in geotechnical/civil engineering or a related technical field is required.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will have:

  • 4+ years of geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing experience.
  • Registered professional engineer (PE) in the State of Colorado.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate in English.
  • Must have a valid CO driver’s license, and acceptable driving record (per MVR).
  • Ability to work independently, communicate clearly (excellent oral and writing communication skills).
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Personality traits to interact with a wide variety of clientele.
  • Proficient skills in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Prepare project specific scope and fee proposals.
  • Manage projects from proposal development through completion.
  • Occasional construction site visits to help identify issues and provide our clients with workable solutions.
  • Perform engineering analysis to develop project specific geotechnical recommendations.
  • Generate and present well written geotechnical studies.
