It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that K+A announces the unexpected and tragic passing of our colleague and friend, Barrett Sullivan. Barrett was the Branch Manager and heart of K+A’s Summit County office and had been with the company for 10 years. He was an essential part of our Construction Materials Testing team and helped strengthen our presence throughout Summit County and the surrounding areas.
He was an avid skier, shredding slopes in the Rockies and on the east coast. Barrett was an outspoken advocate for Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center, an organization that gives people with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy outdoor activities including skiing and snowboarding during the winter season. Barrett was never shy about sharing his interests with coworkers and we enjoyed reading his “Barrettisms” in our bi-monthly internal newsletter which included more than a few references to classic rock and roll.
We will all miss him more than words can express, as he was more than a coworker to our K+A family. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, October 30th at the Lodge at Breckenridge with ski runs and peaks in the background.
