K+A employed John Dosch, from University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, for a summer internship. John will be a Senior for the 2020-2021 school year graduating with a major in civil engineering with an emphasis in geotechnical engineering. While at school, he participated in the ASCE Concrete Canoe National Competition in Florida.
Of his time at K+A, he was able to strengthen his engineering skills and “…learn entirely new things about what it means to be a geotechnical engineer. I’ve done such a variety of work (at Kumar) that I’m unsure how to fit it into my new cover letter.”
Wade Gilbert, Manager of Engineering at K+A’s Denver Office, was impressed with John’s ability to catch onto things quickly and rise to the challenge of working in this industry. John was able to help relieve work load on multiple projects for different offices, including a large project in Craig, CO while enjoying the mountains.
Hopefully, he’ll want to see more of Colorado next summer and maybe even, drop in and work with us again. From all of us at K+A, we enjoyed having John on board and wish him the best of luck in his senior year!
